Description Chelsea Shine: London

Tucked on a quiet residential street that somehow feels like a village despite being in the heart of Chelsea, this house puts King's Road's boutiques and cafes two minutes from your door, with Sloane Square and South Kensington Underground stations both a ten-minute walk away. The Saatchi Gallery is six minutes on foot, the Natural History Museum and V&A within fifteen. Back at the house, a terrace overlooking the street makes for an easy start to the day, and a curated library means unhurried evenings are well catered for too.

Home truths:
* Parking in Chelsea can be tricky, and if you're bringing a larger car you may need to plan ahead – your host is on hand to help you sort arrangements. We recommend using the Tube or a taxi where possible.
* One of the bedrooms – on the lower level – is on the smaller side, so it's worth bearing in mind when allocating rooms for your group.
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a travel cot on request.
* Air conditioning is only available from June to August.
