Description Bankside Cool: London

The definition of industrial-cool, this apartment is a real gem. Artsy types will love being a five-minute stroll from the Tate Modern, while foodies can feast at Borough Market (a ten-minute walk away). Pubs, shops, and transport links are all nearby, too. The design is quirky, comfortable, and filled with little touches to make you feel at home. We're big fans of the private terrace, where you can end the day with a glass of wine as the sun goes down. The second bedroom is a little snug, but that aside, we think it's a great option in an unbeatable location.

Home truths:
*There isn't a proper dining table here – just three stools around the kitchen island. That said, you'll find some of the area's best restaurants close by, so we imagine you'll enjoy most meals out.
*The second bedroom is on the smaller side, and the bed is pushed against the wall. We think it's best for one adult.
*This home is near a railway, so expect to hear some noise from passing trains.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a travel cot and high chair upon request.
