We loved the high ceilings, large windows with original wooden shutters, intricate cornicing and solid walnut floorboards. There’s an eclectic collection of furniture that works well with the lavish bones of the place, creating an atmosphere that feels grand yet homely. Pour yourself a drink from the vintage mini bar and find the comfiest spot on the sofa or whip up a Portuguese dish in the well-appointed kitchen – we couldn’t help falling for the antique chimney and exposed masonry. Step outside and you’ll find yourself between Baixa and Alfama, putting you within walking distance of the city’s best attractions. You’re a mere 100 metres from Lisbon Cathedral, ten minutes from the Fado Museum and just five from the romantic Santa Luzia viewpoint.
