Facilities
The front door opens into the kitchen, equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a variety of cookware, crockery, and utensils.
Adjacent to the kitchen is the sitting area with a comfortable sofa and an electric fire, providing a relaxing space to unwind.
The open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area leads into a cosy sitting room, furnished with two sofas, an armchair, TV, and a second electric 'log' fire, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The exposed beams add character to this traditional cottage.
Upstairs, the cottage has two bedrooms: one with a double bed and views over the garden, and the other with twin beds, making it ideal for both couples and families. The bathroom comprises a bath with a handheld shower head attachment (due to the low ceiling), plus a toilet and wash basin.
Heating and electricity are included in the price of your stay. Bed linen and towels are provided for your convenience, and free WiFi is available throughout the cottage.
Location
Kentisbury is a rural part of North Devon, approx 10 miles north east of the larger town of Barnstaple. North Devon is home to some of Britain’s most breathtaking coastlines, the wild beauty of Exmoor, and the rolling hills of Tarka Country. Its diverse towns and villages cater to all, from peaceful hamlets nestled in hills to lively coastal resorts with a range of amenities.
For an active holiday, explore the 180 miles of cycleways on the Tarka Trail, or immerse yourself in nature with trails through the picturesque Doone Valley. Lundy Island, with its three lighthouses and puffin population, is a must-see, surrounded by the UK’s only statutory Marine Reserve.
With its miles of golden sandy beaches, including the Blue Flag Woolacombe Beach, North Devon’s coastline is among the finest in the world. Add to this a summer full of cultural festivals, theatre, music, and art, and you’ll find North Devon offers something for everyone.
