Pine trees frame the shoreline as you arrive, and that sense of being right on Lake Tahoe never really leaves you. Loungers on the lakefront terrace look out over the water, while a balcony catches the winter light fading over the lake – two very different ways to take in the same view. On cooler evenings, the indoor fireplace draws everyone in, and there's an outdoor fire pit when the stars come out. Homewood Mountain Resort is a thirteen-minute walk for skiing, and the shoreline is there whenever you want it for paddleboarding or a swim.
