You may bump into your neighbours, but the location is worth it. The town is a short stroll away, so you won't need to worry about running out of suncream, and Herne Bay is also excellently located for exploring Kent – you'll find Whitstable a few miles west, to the south is Canterbury, and to the east is Margate, all model day trip destinations.
