Spread across four levels and 14,000 square feet, the home is built for gathering in style, with soaring ceilings, a wall of glass framing forested peaks, and a sunset terrace where the mountains put on a show every evening. A retro soda fountain bar and dedicated games room give groups plenty to come back to after a day on the slopes, and the private cinema seals the deal.

Home truths:
* Ski-in/ski-out here requires a specific route – take Summit Trail to reach the Jordanelle Gondola, and on your return follow the Connector Trail back to Summit Trail with the home on your left. It's worth familiarising yourself with the route before your first day on the slopes.
* There is parking for five vehicles in total – three in the garage and two on the driveway. If your group is arriving in more than five cars, you'll need to plan for additional parking nearby.
* A starter set of consumables – soap, paper products, dish and laundry detergent, towels, and similar basics – is provided on arrival. Once these run out, you'll need to pick up your own supplies for the remainder of your stay.
* With four levels to move between, you'll be using the stairs a lot – something worth bearing in mind if anyone in your group has limited mobility.
* While the seventh bedroom and four bathrooms aren't photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.
