Tucked within 23 hectares of Portuguese woodland, this villa is a rare find for large groups who want seclusion without sacrificing comfort. Ancient pines shade the timber terraces, the double-height living space draws the forest inside through floor-to-ceiling glass, and the bedrooms wake you to leafy views each morning. Outside, a swimming pool sits among landscaped gardens with barbecue facilities, and a paddle tennis court gives everyone something to do. Comporta Beach – wild, dune-fringed Atlantic shoreline – is a fifteen-minute drive, while the Sado Estuary is close enough for dolphin and flamingo spotting.

* The villa is made up of three separate blocks, with two connected by a corridor and one freestanding. If your group takes the freestanding block, moving between it and the rest of the villa means stepping outside.
* While not all the bedrooms and bathrooms have been photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.
* Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay.
* Housekeeping runs for five hours a day, but not on Sundays – so plan around a self-service day at the end of the week if tidiness matters to your group. Bed linen and towels will be changed every seven days.
