Garda Style

A quiet first-floor apartment on the outskirts of Garda, this is a fuss-free base for exploring the region. Bardolino and Lazise are close by, and Verona is 30 kilometres away when you're in the mood for a day of art and architecture. You can also drive down to the lake in ten minutes. The covered terrace looks out over the shared pool and surrounding greenery, and because the pool serves only a handful of apartments, it rarely gets busy. We think it's ideal for a family.

Home truths:
* The washing machine sits in a dedicated space on the balcony rather than inside the apartment.
* You'll need a car to make the most of the area – nearby towns like Bardolino and Lazise, as well as Gardaland and Verona, all require a drive, but there's private parking at the apartment to make that easy.
* There's no lift here. You'll need to be able to climb stairs to reach the entrance of the home.
* You'll have access to the on-site swimming pool here. It's shared with the building's other residents and is open between 10th May and 25th September.
* Well-behaved pets are welcome to accompany you during your stay for no additional charge.
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot at no additional cost. You'll need to request it in advance.
