Castle Street is about as central as Edinburgh gets, and this apartment leans fully into that. Princes Street Gardens are a five-minute walk, George Street's Georgian bars and boutiques a ten-minute stroll, and both the Royal Mile and Victoria Street within about fifteen minutes on foot. The apartment itself is generous for the city – two double bedrooms, a separate en-suite alongside a family bathroom with a bathtub, and a workspace for anyone mixing business with a break. For exploring one of Europe's great cities, it's hard to imagine a more useful base.

Home truths:
* There's no lift here. You'll need to climb about 50 stairs to reach the home's entrance. The building itself also has internal stairs at both the front and rear entrances, so it isn't suited to guests with limited mobility.
* Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay.
* Towels, toiletries, and bedding are provided on arrival but won't be replenished during your stay, so pack accordingly if you're staying for a longer trip.
* There's no parking at the apartment, but both New Town and Old Town are very walkable and well connected by bus, so you may find you don't need a car at all.
