When you're ready to stretch your legs, the beautifully landscaped Royal Botanic Garden and Edinburgh Old Town are a short drive away (also walkable if time is on your side). Or keep things local at Newhaven's little harbour with its picturesque lighthouse for sunset strolls and a fish supper.
