Facilities
The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering or a longer stay, with a double electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, air fryer, toaster, kettle and cafetière. There is an under-counter fridge in the kitchen, plus a freestanding SMEG fridge-freezer and another under-counter fridge in the back kitchen/utility area, where the washing machine is also located. A breakfast table is located in the kitchen and the adjoining dining area has a large table with comfortable seating for 7.

There's a TV with satellite FreeSat in the living area, offering a wide range of digital channels and wifi is ultra-fast satellite broadband (via Starlink).

The property is fitted with oil-fired central heating throughout, which will be programmed for you and can be adjusted to suit your preferences. A starter basket of logs will be provided for the wood-burner in the living room, further logs can be purchased locally in Dulverton if required.

Bed linen and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels for use outside or if you want to take them away from the property on day trips.

Location
Bury is a tiny hamlet tucked into the Haddeo River valley at the foot of Haddon Hill, within Exmoor National Park. Bury is best known for its medieval packhorse bridge and adjoining ford; a four-arched stone bridge that's become something of a local landmark, along with a great network of footpaths and bridleways that lead straight out from the village.

Just a couple of miles away is Dulverton, known as the southern gateway to Exmoor and sitting where the River Barle meets the Exe in a steeply wooded valley. It's a proper working market town with a butcher, greengrocer, delicatessen, alongside a Co-op, post office, pharmacy and stationers, plus a good range of independent shops and art galleries and craft shops throughout the town centre. There's a good choice of places to eat, cosy tea rooms to pubs and restaurants, and the monthly Farmers' Market runs from April to September. History is easy to find too, with a Grade II listed 15th-century church and a Heritage Centre and National Park Information Centre housed together, alongside walking routes straight from town along the riverbank and through Burridge Woods.

Tarr Steps and Wimbleball Lake are both a short drive away too.
