Steps from the Gulf's sugar-white sands, this Crystal Beach house is built for big groups who want the beach without compromise. Private beach access means mornings start with salt air rather than a search for a spot, and the complimentary chair-and-umbrella setup from 1st March to 31st October makes it even easier to settle in. Back at the house, a heated pool, game room, and Gulf-view balcony give everyone somewhere to land. Seven bikes are on hand for exploring the neighbourhood, and a 24/7 concierge can arrange a chef or massage when the mood calls for it.

Home truths:
* Bath towels and linens are provided but must stay in the home – you'll need to bring your own beach and pool towels.
* If you're planning to fish during your stay, note that anyone over the age of ten (and Florida residents under sixty-five) is required by state law to hold a fishing licence unless joining a charter. Licences are available through Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation.
* Between May and October, sea turtles nest on the beach directly in front of the home. During this season you'll need to keep balcony and porch lights off at night, draw the blinds on any Gulf-facing windows after dark, and avoid using standard white torches on the beach.
* The lead guest must be at least 25 years old.
* At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the day beds and two on the accompanying trundles – we think this setup is best suited to children.
