If you're looking for amusement on your city break, how about this home? It's just around the corner from Tivoli Gardens, a theme park with a century-old wooden roller coaster. If you're not after an adrenaline rush, gardens and fantastic restaurants are also nearby. Like the park rides, this apartment has many highs and a few lows. The lift takes you right to the top floor, and we love the characteristic beams. At full capacity, though, there's only one bathroom between eight people – you’d better work out a rota for the mornings.

We think it'll be a squeeze. *If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a free cot and high chair on request. *Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay. *The Copenhagen Metro Circle Line stop is just a five-minute walk from the apartment. *The lead guest must be at least 23 years old.
