Set among rice fields in Comporta's peaceful Vale da Raposa, this villa is a loose gathering of thatched cabanas arranged around sand gardens and pine trees – each one with its own character. The treehouse is the standout: perched above the ground with panoramic glass windows framing the Sado Estuary, it's a different kind of bedroom. The main cabana gathers everyone under soaring timber rafters, with a fireplace and views over the landscape, while the pool cabana offers shade and a barbecue for long alfresco afternoons. Comporta's golden beaches and sweeping rice paddies are close by.

* Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay.
* Aside from the main bedroom, all of the bedrooms here are housed in a separate cabana. The additional twin beds in bedroom four are reached by a ladder, so they may not be suitable for young children. There are also low ceilings here, so taller guests should take care.
* Six hours of housekeeping and breakfast preparation are available every day except Sundays, so you'll be self-sufficient on that one day each week.
* A cot and high chair are available – ask in advance to have them ready on arrival.
