Description Lago Infinito: Como

Manicured gardens with Alpine peaks as a backdrop make this Como apartment a genuinely calming retreat – and that's before you discover the rooftop pool, one of the few in the area. Light pours into the living space, and the private fenced garden gives you a quiet spot to sit out in the Lombardy sun. Lake Como's iconic waterfront promenade is just minutes away on foot, with the Gothic-Renaissance cathedral and the Brunate funicular – perfect for panoramic views over the lake – equally close.

Home truths:
* You'll need a car to reach this apartment – the approach road is narrow in places, and while underground parking is provided, the allocated space sits in a tight corner that can take a few attempts to manoeuvre into.
* The apartment shares its complex with other guests using the pool, tennis court, and communal grounds, so you won't have these facilities entirely to yourselves.
* Before arrival, you'll need to complete an online check-in form, share passport photos for all guests, sign the tourist-use lease, and join a quick video call with the host to verify your documents.
