Lake Como Drift

Sitting directly on the water's edge, this Lake Como apartment puts you within arm's reach of one of Italy's most iconic stretches of shoreline. The private lakefront terrace is the heart of it all – step down from it and you're on the promenade, with a small beach below perfect for an early morning swim. Inside, a spiral staircase connects three compact, characterful levels, with the top-floor bedroom opening onto a private balcony framing open lake and mountain views. Bellagio, Villa del Balbianello, and the villages of the western shore are all an easy ferry ride away.

Home truths:
* Lenno and Tremezzo – the nearest towns for restaurants and shops – are a ten to twenty-minute drive away, so you'll want a car for exploring or stocking up on supplies.
* Parking in Colonno can be tricky, so we recommend checking arrangements with your host in advance and being prepared to walk a short distance to the apartment.
* The spiral staircase connects all three levels but has a compact design – for safety reasons, the host does not permit access to young children.
* One of the bathrooms in this home is very small. That said, it has everything you need to get ready for the day.
* Before arrival, you'll need to complete an online check-in form, share passport photos for all guests, sign the tourist-use lease, and join a quick video call with the host to verify your documents.
