Another Sunny Day

On the glorious coastline of Costa del Sol, between Malaga and Marbella, this luxurious villa sits in the seaside resort of La Cala de Mijas. Here you’ll find an endless array of restaurants and bars, a long stretch of sandy beach and golf courses in the surrounding hills.

The villa itself is made for outdoor living. First, the pool terrace is a real suntrap, where the Roman-style pool is an inviting spot for a dip in the heat of the day. Here you’ll also find the outdoor dining, courtesy of the summer kitchen with plenty of prep space for the grill master. Between patios and terraces, you’ll find loads of seating spots, some with the boho charm of rope-woven chairs and an outdoor fireplace. Then there’s the crowning jewel of this villa – the courtyard adorned with azulejo tiles and spilling with greenery. It’s our favourite spot to unwind for a few hours with a good book.

Inside, it’s a mix of Scandi-minimalism and boho charm. Pristine white walls keep things cool and breezy in the open living area and there’s something utterly delightful about the faux-fur-topped stools at the raw wood breakfast bar in the kitchen. Bedrooms reflect the same attention to design detail, but the master really takes the biscuit with a double-height ceiling, and suspended egg chair by glass sliding doors. From here you can step out onto your private terrace for a moment’s pause.
