Inside, a light-filled living room is where you'll decompress after your adventures, with velvet armchairs and a sofa perfect for unwinding. And when the sun calls (which, in Cádiz, is often), the communal rooftop terrace delivers – a sun-soaked retreat where you can stretch out on loungers beneath the endless Andalusian skies.

Home truths:
* The main bedroom is an interior room that ventilates to the building's communal courtyard rather than a street-facing window, so it tends to be quieter but has no natural outdoor view or much natural light.
* You'll have access to the on-site rooftop terrace and communal Andalusian-style entrance hall here. They're shared with the building's other residents.
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair. It's worth requesting these in advance to make sure they're ready for your arrival.
* For those with reduced mobility, this is a ground-floor apartment, and the building has a lift.
* At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area.
* You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
