If you’re after a Provençal escape with space to spread out, this villa just outside Cabrières-d’Avignon makes a strong case for itself. Set among olive trees and gardens in the Luberon hills, it has countryside calm but with the convenience of being able to walk into the village for a handful of shops and essentials. A heated pool, shaded terraces and a pétanque court all make good excuses to stay outdoors. There’s plenty of room inside too, including a separate studio by the pool that offers a little extra privacy for part of the group. Gordes and other Luberon favourites are an easy drive away when you feel like exploring.
