Description
The Queen's Quarter: Brussels
addremove
Light pours into this Brussels apartment from above the rooftops, and the period ceiling moulding gives it a sense of European elegance you don't often find in a city studio. There's a dedicated desk for working between sightseeing, and air conditioning keeps things comfortable when the city heats up. The EU Quarter location puts you within walking distance of some of Brussels' most rewarding corners – Parc de Bruxelles is a thirteen-minute walk, the Royal Palace a sixteen-minute walk, and Grand Place a twenty-four-minute walk for those evenings when the gilded Gothic facades are at their most dramatic.
Home truths:
* While the building has a lift, some areas of the residence – including certain access points – require steps to navigate. If you have mobility considerations, it's worth checking with your host before booking.
* The living area doubles as sleeping space for a third and fourth guest via a sofa bed, so if you're travelling as a group of three or four, the open-plan layout means everyone shares the same room.
* You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot upon request.
