Home truths:
* Two steps lead down from the TV room into the sitting room and ground-floor bedrooms, so the layout isn't entirely level. The staircase leading to the mezzanine en-suite in the main bedroom is also narrow and steep.
* A river runs through the estate and leads to a gated weir – do keep a close eye on children when they're exploring outdoors.
* Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. Ample designated on-site parking is available.
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide travel cots, high chairs, and stair gates on request. You'll need to bring your own cot linen.
