Perched in a Valle d'Aosta village just ten minutes from the Cervino Ski Paradise area, this alpine villa sits just 250 metres from the slopes – and a shuttle service is available on request. Each of the four floors takes its cue from a different season, and the commitment to relaxation runs deep – chromotherapy showers by Gessi Italia, a Technogym fitness space, and views of the spectacular Grandes Murailles. The outdoor wellness garden, reached directly from the main suite, has a Finnish sauna, hot tub, and solarium. Daily breakfast, afternoon refreshments, and a staff-prepared Italian dinner are all included, making this as close to a staffed retreat as self-catering gets.

* Your stay includes daily housekeeping, a full breakfast, and afternoon refreshments of coffee, tea, and snacks. Dinner is also included, with the house staff preparing a traditional Italian menu.
* The final 200 metres to the villa are on an unpaved dirt road. In winter, if snow makes this stretch impassable, you'll park a short distance away and walk in along a scenic path – so a 4x4 with winter tyres and chains is strongly recommended.
* The indoor garage fits one car. It has an electric charging station, plus storage for skis, snowboards, boots and bicycles.
* The twin beds in the top-floor bedroom can be pushed together to make a double – let your host know in advance if you'd prefer that configuration.
* This home spans four levels, with stairs between each floor. It may not suit those with limited mobility.
