Inside, expansive glass draws the water into every corner of the living space, and a gas fireplace keeps things warm when the mountain air cools. Glacier National Park is a forty-five-minute drive, putting hiking, fly fishing, and boating well within reach.

* The boat dock and slip are available in the summer months only, and access depends on the water level at the time of your stay – worth bearing in mind if boating is central to your plans.
* Bigfork town is nearby for restaurants, shops, and supplies, but the home sits in a lakeside setting rather than within walking distance of amenities – plan on driving for most errands. There are two on-site parking spaces, but no room for a boat trailer if you're bringing your own vessel.
* Your host provides a starter supply of essentials – soap, paper products, laundry detergent, and the like – but once these run out, restocking is down to you. A quick trip to Bigfork will cover any supplies you need.
