Slopeside on Spirit Mountain with the Lewis & Clark Lift just steps from the back door, this cabin is as close to the mountain as it gets in Big Sky. Inside, soaring timber beams and a gas fireplace framed by floor-to-ceiling windows set the scene, while the main suite has its own fireplace and direct deck access for morning coffee with ridge views. Come evening, the private hot tub and stone fireplace deck are where you'll want to be – pine forest all around, open sky above, and The Montage just four minutes away when you need it.

Home truths:
* The ski-out route from the home and the return run both follow specific trails – there are a couple of tunnels on the way down and a pull-up tow on the way back, so it's worth reading your host's directions before you clip in for the first time.
* You'll have parking for four vehicles here – two in the heated garage and two on the driveway. If you're arriving in a convoy, it's worth coordinating who gets the garage spots.
* Your host provides a starter set of everyday consumables – soap, paper products, laundry detergent, towels, and similar basics. Once those run out, you'll need to pick up your own supplies, so it's worth doing a grocery run early in your stay if you're planning to be here for more than a few days.
* There is ongoing or planned construction activity in the area around the home. You may encounter some noise or traffic delays during your stay.
