Ski back to a lodge where a bubbling outdoor hot tub and pine forest views are waiting at the end of every run. Tucked within Big Sky's Spanish Peaks enclave, the home sits steps from the Highlands 3 Ski Lift – cross the street, drop in, and you're on the mountain. Inside, a soaring great room with a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace anchors the two levels, while a cedar sauna and fire pit make evenings after the slopes a real treat.

Home truths:
* Bedroom three has two double-over-double bunk beds, which might be best suited to children. There's also a double sofa bed in the living area.
* The ski-out access isn't directly from the door – you'll walk across the street to the Highlands Access point and ski down to the Highlands 3 Ski Lift from there.
* Your host provides a starter set of consumables – soap, paper products, dish and laundry detergent, towels, and similar basics. Once these run out, you'll need to pick up your own supplies, so it's worth stocking up on essentials early in your stay.
* There are four parking spaces in total – two in the heated garage and two on the driveway. If you're arriving as a larger group with multiple vehicles, it's worth planning who parks where.
