Inside, a stone fireplace anchors the main living area, where leather sofas and vaulted ceilings give the whole place an unhurried, mountain-cabin warmth. A lofted second living space sits above for quieter evenings. In winter, a groomed ski run is a short walk down the hill, with Madison Base a five-minute drive away – and come summer, Moonlight Basin's trail network is right on the doorstep.

Home truths:
* The sofa bed is not the most comfortable sleeping option for adults. If you're at full capacity, it works best for younger guests.
* Bedroom three has a single-over-double bunk bed that might be best suited to children.
* Ski-in, ski-out access here is condition-dependent and can vary during your stay, so it's worth checking Big Sky Resort's lift status before you travel.
* A starter set of consumables — soap, paper products, dish and laundry detergent, and similar basics — is provided on arrival. Once those run out, restocking is on you, so it's worth picking up extras on your way in if you're staying for more than a few days.
* You'll have parking for one car in the garage and two more on the driveway — space for three vehicles in total.
