With ski-in/ski-out access to the Pony Express lift you could not be closer to the slopes here if you tried. Even if you visit during the summer months, however, this chalet makes a great option for enjoying all that the mountains have to offer including hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. Inside, the home is cosy and welcoming with a generous open-plan living area and large bedrooms – if you're lucky enough to get the main bedroom, you'll also enjoy access to the private hot tub. What we really love are the alpine views, best enjoyed from the private balcony with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.

Home truths:
*You won't find a welcome hamper here and basic essentials are minimal, so we'd recommend packing some bits and bobs to get you started. The nearest shop is a ten-minute drive away.

*There is no dedicated boot room here but there are ski racks outside. Your host also provides sleds for you to use.

*As with many homes in Big Sky, there is no air conditioning but fans are provided.

*Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. A 4WD vehicle is recommended during winter months.
