Just a few miles around the coast, the breath-taking Hartland Quay has an imposing lighthouse, a pebbled beach, and dramatic crashing waves which have claimed many a ship, some of which are remembered in the interesting shipwreck museum which overlooks the beach. The small village of Hartland is situated three miles inland and offers an small selection of shops, three pubs, a coffee shop, bakery and a collection of interesting galleries and craft workshops.
