Some of the furniture comes with that old-school classroom feel, and the checkerboard floor is also stunning. Kreuzberg isn’t for everyone, but it encapsulates the Berliner spirit perfectly – it’s especially suitable for travellers keen to be bang in the middle of all things cool.

*The bed in the master bedroom can only be accessed from one side
*This home is located on the third floor with no elevator – be prepared for some up and down
*Due to all the nearby bars and restaurants, it may get noisy at night
*There’s not a lot of space for unpacking your suitcase
*When we visited, we noticed some wear and tear - expect some minor stains and scuff marks
*The blinds in the bedroom don’t do a great job at keeping all of the sunlight out
