Eixample is an all-time favourite in terms of restaurants and attractions, and this home is close to both Passeig de Gràcia and Plaça de Catalunya. The design here is fairly straightforward and simple – a no-frills arrangement. But if you're looking for somewhere relaxed and central, then you might have found your base for urban exploration.

* Five guests can stay in this home, but the last two will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room
* The cabinets in the bathroom show some water damage – the host is aware and they're due for a replacement
* When we tested the WiFi, it was a bit slow at only 6mbps
