Otherwise, it must be said that the design lies on the contemporary side of the scale, thanks to the stark white walls, wooden floor and smooth kitchen surfaces. Some rather subtle underlighting has been incorporated into the walls, but natural light comes from a tall window in the living room that also opens out to a Juliet balcony — just in case you fancy a blast of fresh air at any point.

If you're looking to stay somewhere within walking distance of many of Barcelona's best-known attractions, you're in luck. Both the city's cathedral and Ciutadella Park can be reached in around five minutes on foot, while the Picasso Museum sits even nearer than that.
