Perched on the heights of Marigot, this villa is defined by the panorama that greets you at every turn – Marigot Bay's turquoise water stretching out beneath a vaulted wood ceiling in the living room, catching the light from the terrace where fourteen can dine under open sky. The heated infinity pool runs the full width of the villa, dissolving into the ocean horizon beyond. When the day winds down, there's a hammam, cinema room, and fitness room to retreat to – and on-demand services from a private chef to in-villa massage mean the effort is entirely optional.

Home truths:
* The two lower-level suites sit on a separate floor from the four main-level bedrooms – you can reach them via the internal staircase or the private elevator, which is worth bearing in mind if you're allocating rooms to guests with mobility considerations.
* Housekeeping is provided daily except on Sundays and public holidays. Towels are swapped every two days and bed linen every three days.
* Also included with your stay is a personalised welcome at St-Jean Airport or Gustavia Port.
* There's a heated outdoor swimming pool here. Pool heating is available between 15th November and 30th April.
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair at no additional cost. You'll need to request them in advance.
