Perched on the heights of Camaruche above Lorient bay, this villa serves up spectacular sunsets – the hillside light fades slowly over the water, and the infinity pool is exactly the right place to watch it happen. Two alfresco dining areas face the ocean from the terrace, so evenings can stretch as long as you like. Inside, the living and dining rooms frame the same Caribbean panorama, and a private chef can be arranged on request for when you'd rather not leave. Lorient Beach, a calm reef-sheltered bay, is close by for quieter days.
Home truths:
* The villa is spread across three levels, so you'll be using the stairs regularly.
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can arrange a cot and high chair for your stay.
* Housekeeping is provided daily except on Sundays and public holidays. Towels are swapped every two days and bed linen every three days.
