Perched above Lorient bay on the northern side of St Barthélemy, this villa is built around its infinity pool terrace – a spot where the Caribbean sea fills the horizon and trade winds keep things cool beneath the palms. All three bedrooms open directly onto the deck, and the third comes with its own private terrace, so the outside feels as much a part of the stay as anything indoors. Vaulted mansard ceilings give the living and dining area a generous sense of volume, with bay windows pulling in panoramic views of the water. Daily housekeeping and on-request services – private chef, yoga teacher, massage staff – mean the pace here is entirely yours to set.

* The fitness room sits on a lower level below the main living areas, so you'll need to head downstairs to use it – it's not part of the main flow of the villa.
* Lorient is a residential area on the quieter north side of the island, and you'll want a car to reach the main beaches, restaurants, and Gustavia's shops comfortably.
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair. You'll need to request them in advance.
* Housekeeping is provided daily except on Sundays and public holidays. Towels are swapped every two days and bed linen every three days.
