Perched on a clifftop domain of more than three hectares in Petit-Cul-de-Sac, this six-bedroom villa complex is all about the ocean – it's there in the kitchen window, framed by floor-to-ceiling glass in the bedrooms, and spread across three sides of the living room come sunset. Outside, two pools and a Jacuzzi sit on the terrace, with a private seating area further up the cliff for quieter moments with the view. A cinema room, fitness room, and concierge service handling everything from airport arrivals to restaurant bookings mean you can set whatever pace you like from the moment you arrive.

Home truths:
* The villa is split across two separate buildings, so guests in the two-bedroom building will have their own pool and lounge but will step outside to reach the main living and dining areas in the second building.
* There is no commercial airport on Saint Barthélemy – you'll fly into Saint Martin and take a short connecting flight or ferry across. Included with your stay is a personalised welcome at St-Jean Airport or Gustavia Port.
* Well-behaved pets are welcome to accompany you during your stay.
* If you're travelling with little ones, a cot and high chair are available at the villa.
* Housekeeping is provided daily except on Sundays and public holidays. Towels are swapped every two days and bed linen every three days.
* One of the outdoor swimming pools is heated. Pool heating is available between 15th November and 30th April.
