At this villa in St-Jean, you'll be treated to an unbroken sweep of Caribbean ocean stretching out to Bonhomme and Frégate islands. It's a view you'll bask in from the infinity pool, the terrace, and every bedroom. Wide bay windows dissolve the line between the living room and the ocean-facing deck, where covered alfresco dining and hanging chairs make it easy to lose track of time. Daily housekeeping is included, with a private chef, butler, and in-villa wellness staff all available on request for a fee.

Home truths:
* The two upper bedrooms are accessed by stairs from the main level – if anyone in your group has mobility considerations, the two ground-floor bedrooms open directly onto the terrace and pool.
* From the terrace, you'll have a front-row view of planes landing on the nearby St-Jean runway – atmospheric and a talking point for most guests, though worth knowing if you're sensitive to aircraft noise.
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can arrange a cot and a high chair on request.
* Housekeeping is provided daily except on Sundays and public holidays. Towels are swapped every two days and bed linen every three days.
* Also included with your stay is a personalised welcome at St-Jean Airport or Gustavia Port.
* There's a heated outdoor swimming pool here. Pool heating is available between 15th November and 30th April.
