In the neighbouring picturesque market town of Ashbourne you can find a wonderful range of restaurants, cafes, family friendly pubs and independent shops. Also close by is Thor s Cave (6 miles), Carsington Water reservoir (8 miles), perfect for birdwatching, water sports, walking and cycling around its eight mile perimeter. Visit the Tissington and Manifold trails, a haven for walkers and cyclists (2 miles and 8 miles respectively), Chatsworth House and Gardens (18 miles) and the historic town of Bakewell (15 miles). For an adrenaline filled day, head to Alton Towers theme park or visit its imaginative waterpark to enjoy the tropical lagoon, promising family fun all year around (10 miles). After a day of walking around the local peaks, come back and head to the lounge with a hot drink and put your feet up in front of the fire, with plenty of sofas and armchairs arranged to accommodate the whole party and watch a family favourite film on the TV. Head into the stylish kitchen to cook up a classic dish with the help from the electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. When it's time to serve, gather around the dining table and enjoy some good quality time with your loved ones, while planning where your holiday will take you in the coming days. The ground floor rooms share a bathroom with shower over bath and WC, and a further separate shower room and WC. Enjoy breakfast with a view of Thorpe pastures from the breakfast bar, before heading out on your adventures.
