This Vilamoura apartment, although stripped back and simple, offers everything needed for a comfortable stay. With two bedrooms and bathrooms, the only downside, if you’re a party of six, is that two people will draw the short straw and be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room. That aside, the sun-kissed balcony is the perfect place to start your day over a cup of coffee, and the view of the communal pool will soon tempt you into its refreshing water. Locally, there’s a great selection of beaches, bars and restaurants nearby, so you’ll never be lost for things to do.

*The bedroom curtains here don't fully block out the sunlight. If you're hoping to enjoy a lie-in, you might want to pack an eye mask.
