Once a humble farmhouse in the charming village of Acquarica in the Salento region of southern Italy, this villa is a relaxing hideaway near the countryside. The undisputed highlight is the large outdoor area, where guests can relax in the sun by the pool after an afternoon dip, or dine alfresco around the shaded outdoor table. Inside, there’s a small kitchenette ideal for quick bites – however, since there’s no oven we’d recommend dining in the village or taking the quick trip to Lecce, just twenty minutes away. Or, if you’re after a day by the ocean, the beaches of Torre Specchia Ruggeri are just a quick drive away too.

*This home is near a main road, so expect to hear some noise from passing cars.
*You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
*There are no in-unit laundry facilities here.
*Though there's no on-site parking here, there is free on-street parking near the home.
*The swimming pool isn't fenced. If you're bringing little ones, they'll need to be supervised at all times.
