Perched on the edge of a Sicilian fishing village near Acireale, this eight-bedroom villa is built for groups who want space without losing each other entirely – two independent units, each with its own kitchen and living room with a working fireplace, that share a pool ringed by ancient olive trees and a wellness area with sauna, Turkish bath, and sea views. Evenings tend to gravitate toward the terrace, where the light drops slowly over open water, or the pergola for long alfresco dinners. Etna, Taormina, and the Alcantara Gorges are all within easy reach when you're ready to explore.

Home truths:
* The villa is made up of two self-contained units, each with its own entrance, kitchen, and living room.
* The wellness area – including the sauna, Turkish bath, and fitness room – is accessed from outside on the ground floor of the main house, separate from the main living areas.
* The pool is open from 1st March to 30th November.
* You'll need a car to make the most of the area. Parking is available on the premises.
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide two cots and two high chairs. Ask in advance so everything is in place on arrival.
