Situated just ten minutes on foot from the Gran Vía, this apartment is about as central as it gets. It's part of the vibrant Chueca neighbourhood, where famed nightlife, cultural hot spots, and lively tapas bars reign supreme. We love the bright and modern style, though the living space and bathroom are on the small side. There's a sleek kitchen where you can rustle up your take on Spanish favourites – or you can sample the local fare at the array of nearby eateries. When you're ready to explore, you'll find a metro station nearby and landmarks within walking distance – that's all our boxes ticked.

Home truths:
*While there's sleeping space to accommodate five guests here, we think it will feel a little crowded at full occupancy – particularly in the living area. We'd recommend a maximum guest count of four.
*The bathroom is narrow, and the shower is quite compact.
*The main bedroom has a glass wall facing the hallway, so privacy is limited – though the glass is somewhat frosted. This room also doesn’t have a real window.
*Please note that this home is not suitable for groups of young people.
