Description Intracoastal Afternoon: Boca Raton

Sitting right on the Intracoastal Waterway, this Boca Raton apartment lets you watch boats drift past from the comfort of your own living space – a calming backdrop that makes the setting feel more like a retreat than a base. The shared waterfront pool and hot tub are steps away when you want to cool off in the Florida sun. Boca's sandy Atlantic beaches are a short stroll across A1A, and Lake Boca Raton is about a three-minute walk, with South Inlet Park just a little further along.

Home truths:
* The sofa bed in the living room sleeps one additional guest – worth bearing in mind if you're travelling as a group of five, as the fifth person won't have a private bedroom.
* If you're travelling with a little one, your host can provide a cot – just request it in advance.
* You'll have access to the on-site pool and hot tub here. They're shared with the building's other residents.
