Perched above Gouverneur on the south side of Saint-Barthélemy, this villa is designed around one of the island's most coveted panoramas – the Atlantic unfurling from the heated infinity pool, the alfresco dining terrace, and the living space in equal measure. Fourteen can sit down to dinner facing open ocean as the light drops, while the pool gazebo seems to hover at the water's edge. Five bedrooms split between the main building and two private bungalows give the villa a generous sense of scale without sacrificing quiet, and on-request staff – from a private chef to a yoga teacher – mean the pace is entirely yours to set.

* The two bungalow bedrooms have twin beds that can be converted into king-size beds – let your host know in advance if you'd prefer that configuration.
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can arrange a babysitter, and a cot and high chair are available at the villa.
* There's a heated outdoor swimming pool here. Pool heating is available between 15th November and 30th April.
* Housekeeping is provided daily except on Sundays and public holidays. Towels are swapped every two days and bed linen every three days.
