With the centre of Whitby on your doorstep – this stylish apartment is a great find. If you love history, head to the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, a six-minute stroll. It's the same walking distance to Whitby Beach, while the ruined Whitby Abbey, which inspired Bram Stoker's gothic novel 'Dracula', is under fifteen minutes on foot. You'll find an abundance of pubs, restaurants and cafes on your doorstep too. Or, further afield, explore Dalby Forest, located on the southern slopes of the North York Moors National Park, just over a thirty-minute drive from this home. After all that sightseeing, relax on the comfy sofa in the bay window and read a book or unwind with a coffee. A range of plants and contemporary art prints give this place a homely feel – we certainly felt at home when we visited. We love the use of colour here, from the forest green kitchen to the sunny yellow, midcentury-style armchair. This place is the perfect Yorkshire retreat for a couple looking to have easy access to all of Whitby's delights.
