The sea views are excellent, and they're even better from the terrace – we can already picture ourselves lolling about out there, relishing in the fresh air and watching the boats come in and out of the harbour.

Situated right where Kieler Förde meets the Baltic Sea, this is one of the most renowned sailing harbours in the world, so boat trips, kite surfing and windsurfing are a given. There's a protected nature reserve just a quick twenty-minute stroll away, where you'll find a sandy beach ideal for summer afternoons by the ocean. For day trips, Kiel is about a thirty-minute drive away – it's an excellent option for a day trip.
