You won't find a better location than this. Hidden away in the heart of Venice, this top-floor flat is just an easy four-minute stroll from one of the most famous piazzas in the city: Saint Mark's Square. Here, you'll find Palazzo Ducale, Torre dell'Orologio, the Bridge of Sighs and Saint Mark's Basilica all within mere steps from each other – plus, the city's many other landmarks are easily reached on foot. Add in the delicious trattorias, gourmet restaurants and all the shops practically on your doorstep, and you couldn't ask for a better base. Although it's a bit of a climb to reach this apartment, trust us – the birds-eye view across Venice's orange-coloured rooftops is entirely worth it. We love how luminous and inviting the living space is, with traditional wooden beams, shiny hardwood floors and a sumptuous white sofa that beckons after a long day on your feet. Every room shows off the majestic scenery – whether you're enjoying a glass of wine around the dining table or soaking sore muscles in the blue-tiled bathtub, you'll be able to appreciate the panoramas. And there's plenty of space, too – both bedrooms are comfortable while two bathrooms mean you can avoid those pesky morning shower queues.

Home truths
This home is on the fourth floor without an elevator – it's roughly ninety steps to reach the door. It might not be the best option for those with reduced mobility.
A cot and high chair can be provided on request.
There's no parking here, but you won't need a car in Venice – we think the best way to see the city is on foot or by boat.
While this flat is in the city centre, it's relatively quiet – however, , just in case.
As it's on the top floor, it can get a little warm during the summer months – there is air conditioning, but it's not the most powerful.

About San Marco
