Description Nightingale: Venice

We’ve got to start by talking about the location. Nightingale is, at a stretch, fifty metres from St. Mark’s Square. Obviously that does mean that there will always be a lot of tourists around, but that’s something we can live with. It’s rare to get to stay as close as to such an iconic place, and that opportunity shouldn’t be passed up lightly. It’s also reassuring that the place is kept in very good condition by Mario and his team.

Home truths:
*The second bedroom has a double sofa bed rather than a permanent bed
*As you're so close to St. Mark's Square, you can expect a lot of tourists to pass by
*There's no lift, so you'll have to take the stairs up to the flat, and the entrance isn't completely obvious from the main street
*Some parts of the flat can get a bit dark
*The kitchen is pretty small, and while it can handle the basics, you wouldn't want to host a dinner party
