Located at the northern edge of Texel, this home is one of a collection of villas that bring some contemporary luxury to this quiet island. The floor-to-ceiling windows that run along the front half of the living space are generous when it comes to natural light and also look out to views of the verdant surroundings. We're huge fans of the design throughout, from the parquet floors and mid-century furnishings to the minimalist kitchen and wood-panelled bathroom. And how could we forget to mention that the home has its very own sauna? Just outside, there's a terrace and garden from which to enjoy the peaceful setting, but there are plenty of outdoor excursions to be had in the local area. The island's coastline lies six minutes' walk away and it's possible to hire a bicycle so you can see the island on two wheels. If you choose to do that, De Schorren nature reserve is only seventeen minutes away and offers some fantastic birdwatching opportunities
