Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

This is not your typical Italian villa. Sure, on the outside it looks familiar with its rustic stone walls and quaint shutters. But on the inside, it’s a treasure trove of antiques and expertly styled rooms. From the off, the huge living area is a grand affair with its high ceilings, exposed stairways, reclaimed wood and Chesterfield sofas. Upstairs, the bedrooms are fit for Italian nobility with period–style furniture and opulent beds. And it would be remiss not to mention the games room with its pinball machine, table football, vintage fruit machines and stunning polished brass cash tills (try saying that one after a few negronis). When you’re finished perusing your home’s articles of virtu, whip up a torta di pere using pears plucked fresh from the home’s orchards. Find a quiet spot beside the pool or socialise under the gazebo. At dinner time, get the barbecue going and dine together on the patio, finishing the occasion with a digestif and your knockout dessert.

You might recognize Arezzo's central city square, which provided the backdrop for Roberto Benigni’s Life Is Beautiful. The city is also known for its enormous antiques fair, which...
